Pianist and conductor with one of the most versatile profiles of his generation, Miquel Massana combines commitments in the symphonic, lyrical and cobla worlds, also highlighting his deep pedagogical vocation and musical dissemination.

He is currently chief conductor of Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona, "Rovira i Virgili" University Symphony Orchestra and Ponent Youth Orchestra. He has also been invited by Vallès Symphony Orchestra, Camerata XXI Orchestra, Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of the Island of Menorca or Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana.

With the Opera Catalunya Foundation production of Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in 2022 he began his career in the operatic field that continues at the Barcelona Opera House, as assistant conductor of La Cenerentola, by Gioachino Rossini, or Akhnaten, by Philip Glass, and as musical director of the premiere of Azul como una naranja, by Guillem Palomar. He is also musical director of the Tarragona Opera Choir of the Friends of the Lyric Theater of Tarragona.
