



Pianist and conductor with one of the most versatile profiles of his generation, Miquel Massana combines commitments in the symphonic, lyrical and cobla worlds, also highlighting his deep pedagogical vocation and musical dissemination.
Recently appointed new assistant conductor of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, he is also chief conductor of Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona, "Rovira i Virgili" University Symphony Orchestra and Ponent Youth Orchestra. He has also been invited by Vallès Symphony Orchestra, Camerata XXI Orchestra, Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of the Island of Menorca or Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana.
With the Opera Catalunya Foundation production of Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he began his career in the operatic field that continues at the Barcelona Opera House, as musical director of the premiere of Azul como una naranja, by Guillem Palomar and Jo,núvol, by Sergi Puig as well as assistant conductor of La Cenerentola, by Gioachino Rossini, or Akhnaten, by Philip Glass. He is also musical director of the Tarragona Opera Choir of the Friends of the Lyric Theater of Tarragona.
